Title: Stack Icons after transferring to device
Post by: ksvane on July 18, 2013, 04:06:30 am
I transferred some songs from MC to my portable device, after which the songs suddenly had a stack icon in my library, which they didn't have before transfer. Why is that?

When you transferred the songs to the device Media Center converted some of them to the format your device can read (default is mp3).  Media Center saves these conversions so you don't have to re-create them the next time you transfer to your device.  Now your library has both the mp3 version and your original version, so it makes them into stacks.  If you don't want this, go into Tools > Options > File Location > Conversion Cache.  From here you can see where the cache is saved so you can delete them from your computer and turn off caching.
