Title: Streaming Internet radio regularly cuts out and stops playing
Post by: Z0001 on July 19, 2013, 04:00:31 am
We are experiencing problems with Internet radio cutting out. We are on a wired gigabit network, nothing heavy duty going on with the pc, just MC as the active app, but I'm not sure how to check there's not download activity going on I'm not aware about.

Any ideas on what could cause MC to cut out like this?

Many thanks for any help

are you running multiple jrmc servers (eg are clients also sharing their libraries)?

maybe this would help?

go from Tree Services==>Media Network (select servers if needed)

might be a place to start at least

Thanks Arindelle, will take a look at this. We only run one MC server on the one pc. Nothing complex in our set up.

Any further thoughts on this? We are in Australia and when listening to Mix106.5 it regularly stops playback and Play needs to be pressed again.

Is it common to lose signal like this when streaming?

Thanks

The server may periodically disconnect you in order to save bandwidth.

Thanks Jim. Is there a way to avoid this bandwidth saving,  a setting or some tweak?

Thanks
