Title: Do I Need a Media Player
Post by: Dubinvero on July 19, 2013, 08:28:42 am
I own MC18. I also have a Dish Hopper, Pioneer BDP 62FD Blu Ray Player, an Onkyo NR-TX717 receiver, a Roku 3 and an AppleTV. I have JRemote installed on my iPad.

I intend to rip my DVD collection to ISO. I have ripped one DVD which plays on my PC using MC18 linked to VLC. I have not yet figured out how to stream the ISO to any of my players. Should I be able to use MC18 to stream to one of these players? What benefit would I get if I purchased a more capable player such as Popcorn Hour A400? Better GUI, less Programming of MC18, ability to play almost any file type?

I have read the JRiver Wiki and forum posts but cannot figure out how to stream to my equipment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Derek
