Title: Server mode and JRemote, Server 2012
Post by: coxhaus on July 21, 2013, 03:14:10 pm

I wonder if I can receive some guide lines for setting up JRemote with JRiver running in server mode. I am using server2012. What is the best way to run JRiver in server mode? What is the best way to connect JRemote to JRiver in server mode? I can do this with trial and error but would prefer guide lines to speed up my process. Thanks. My plans are to convert to core after everything is running.

it was pretty easy i thought.  just check the "use media network" box in options->media network, then select the access key.  it'll give you a key (capitals matter) and allow you to test your connection.  if everything appears to be working, start jremote and enter new server, then enter your access code, and done (for me it worked first time)

AFAIK JRiver sets up it's own DLNA server, so you don't use server2012...

I lost sound quality sound doing it this way. Is there any way to use server 2012 and run it remotely?

Please use the JRemote thread on the Third Party board.
