Improvements that JRiver has committed to adding to v18 (hopefully coming soon):
Theater View will optionally fade away some text to prevent plasma burn-in.
With the release of 19 drawing ever closer when should we expect see this feature added to 18?
-
Thank you for bringing this up. I was trying to find the thread where that was posted but I just could not find it. This is definitely one of my pet peeve of theater view.
-
I originally requested this feature back during the days of MC17 and it was the reason I purchased MC18.
Perhaps someone from JRiver would be kind enough to reply ?
-
I bumped one of the request threads about a month ago.

I'm a turkey. Sorry.
It's still near the top of the list.

Thanks Matt, does that mean it will still make it into 18 ?

I'm not sure. I'll code it in MC19 and see how scary it would be to roll back to MC18.
-
I find your reply a little hard to swallow, especially as I payed for an upgrade to 18 for this after reading that you were 'committed' to adding the feature :-\
-
Sorry it didn't work out. It's tough to add anything to MC18 since we're in bug fix mode on it now.

I don't doubt that for a moment but to be fair we shouldn't be in a position where a paying user is having to ask for a feature to be added at this late stage of development when it was 'committed' long ago, that's poor to say the least.
I trust that this feature will now be one of the first to make it into 19 ?
