Title: MJ7 and XP ? Should I ..?
Post by: Badger on March 20, 2002, 06:23:44 am
Thinking of upgrading my MJ machine to XP.  If 7.2 has problems with XP....I won't.

I have never used 7.2 with anything but XP Professional while at home. It was frickin' flawless. 24GB of music collection created with it. I'll vouch for 7.2 on XP, no problem.

If it's not too late, I've found that installing XP OVER another OS has given me different results than installing it fresh, if you're in a position to do that. In neither case did it affect the stability of MJ 7.2, but it did have an effect on certain other functions in the OS...I won't get into it here, but if you're installing over 2000 you might find it cleaner to just kill it and install XP from scratch. I can't speak for what happens from 98/ME to XP, never tried that.

Yes, I agree.  I always start from scratch with a new OS.
