Yesterday evening I spent 3 hours alternately searching the forum and fiddling with the tags of several VA albums I'd just imported, with little success.
Several tracks were still tagged as Single artist (incomplete)
I tried clearing/rewriting the Artist fields, writing in (Multiple Artists) by hand, moving the tracks manually to my Multiple Artists directory, deleting them from my library and then re-importing them, nothing worked. I just fired up JRMC18 again, and bingo, they're fine.
I'm sure this shouldn't require a Media Center restart.
I sometimes have a similar problem with TV series episodes - although they seem to be tagged fine, some of them don't show up in Theater view under the series. Some of them have stayed like that despite countless restarts/reboots.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
While the automatic Multiple Artist function is handy, I'm not so sure why the fields are blocked in case things don't pan out.
