Title: Convert File Format -- How to change bit depth??
Post by: sskings on July 28, 2013, 01:36:05 pm
I have a few files in my library that are 24 bit depth.  How do I convert them to 16 bit?  The DSP option of the Convert Format dialog gives the opportunity to change sample rate....  However, when I convert from 96000 to 44100, the bit depth does not simultaneously change from 24 to 16 bit as I had anticipated.

Thanks for the help.  btw, MC19 is purchased...thanks for the continuing improvements.

I wondered about this as well.

Any thoughts on this question now from 2 forum users?  Thanks.

Sorry, but there's currently no way to change the bitdepth when converting.

I think we'll probably add this somehow, but I'm not sure what it will look like.  DSP Studio no longer exposes bitdepth because of this:
