Title: Adding or Converting iTunes Podcast URLs
Post by: vroom on July 29, 2013, 10:55:31 am
I follow some artists that only have podcasts available for subscription via iTunes. Short of going to the artist's website and manually downloading each time, or making the podcast site an RSS feed and view it in Feedly, is there anyway to subscribe to a podcast like this right in MC18?

These are what I use to convert the iTunes garbage to the actual RSS URL.

http://itunes.so-nik.com/

Would be awesome if we could add the iTunes podcast link directly to JRiver.

I've tried entering the URL they spit out into the MC podcast URL. It gets stuck on "waiting".

What is the podcast?

Global Soundsystem.

iCrapple Original: https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/id397315872
Converted: http://feeds.feedburner.com/GlobalSoundsystem

The RSS feed works fine as I'm able to subscribe in Feedly and listen to it right through browser. MC doesn't seem to like it though.

The RSS you provided worked for me. Took a minute.

Global Soundsystem also provides this:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/GlobalSoundsystem?format=xml

Thanks for the podcast. Looks like we have similar taste in music ;)

Great! Yes Tydi is one of my favorites.

MC is still stuck on "waiting to load http://feeds.feedburner.com/GlobalSoundsystem?format=xml"

Does it do this to you?

MC18 loaded 194 episodes for which I had it download the latest episode. All worked for me.

I got it working. For some reason it would not load from my client, so I connected via remote desktop to my HTPC and added the podcast from there. Must be some sort of bug. Glad to finally add this new way of using MC.

PS I also listen to Gareth Emery podcast and ofcourse Armin's ASOT.

Thanks again :)
