Title: No Subtitles
Post by: maverick_is_on on August 04, 2013, 09:40:04 pm
Playing mkv movie via DLNA to Panasonic VT60 . Has subtitles in a SRT format as a seperate file . File plays perfectly with no issues. Cannot get subtitles to play along with the movie.

I played the movie in the player , enabled subtitles and the subtitles played fine . then i streamed the movie using send to : VIERA vt60 . Movie again plays without subtitles on the TV while movie is still playing in the player with subtitles .

Any ideas

You might get better results if you embed the SRT subtitles into the MKV file using MKVMerge (part of the MKVToolNix package). I tested streaming such a file to my Panasonic VT30 television from MC18 via DLNA and the subtitles were displayed correctly.
