Hello. Are you using the following application on your Mac to wake up your Synology?

WakeOnLan
This is what I am using on my Mac to wake up my Synology and it has worked with no glitches. I am using a Synology 1812+.

I thought it's always best to set your audio mac to never sleep? That's how I have mine set anyway.

I assumed he was referring to waking up his Synology NAS. My Mac Mini is, as yours, set to never sleep.
I have however setup the Synology NAS to shutdown at a certain period every night and to re-start at a certain time every day. If I want to use the Synology during a period when it has been shutdown, I use the WakeOnLan software to "wake up" the Synology so I can use it.

Well my success rate is only 57% and it could well be I misunderstood the issue after re-reading it... ;)
