Hi
I've just installed WHS on an HP NAS with two drivers mirrored
Next step will be copying media (FLAC, and some mostly 720p video) onto the NAS
I'll replicate a simple directory structure
Then install JR on the PC
I'm sure at some stages there'll be choices about how to do some things differently, but despite searching around for a while, haven't yet found a guide, thread or blog covering the basic setup
What should I know in advance, can anyone point me to a guide, any tips?
TIA
Richard

There is a getting started wiki page here: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Getting_Started (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Getting_Started)
Is there anything specific?
One thing to watch out for is that a clean install of MC will perform an auto-import of standard media directories on your PC. It gives you around 30 seconds to cancel it I think, so watch out for the dialog in the bottom left corner I think when you first run the program after installing. You will need to configure the import to look at your NAS directories first.

Thank you
Haven't the time now to read all the links there, but it looks good
I installed JR on a PC about 6-7 weeks ago, and soon after paid the $50 license fee.
But a couple of weeks later that PC died; so I'm now needing a fresh install on a new PC
Does anyone know how to use the earlier license on a new PC?

http://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi (http://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi)
This will give you a new licence file for use with a new installation.

Does MC 18 work with MHS 2011?
