Title: Handheld Sync for non playlists [Solved]
Post by: Samson on August 09, 2013, 10:02:42 pm
Hi All,
I recently manually added lots of files to a handheld sync > usb flash drive. Conversion cache for MP3 set to a custom folder. Option to "Resync if date modified".

If I press "sync now" it says  "device is not configured for syncing."

Will any syncing occur or tag updates occur in these manually added files or is that only for playlists ?
Am I better off trashing the whole audio conversion cache and doing a third party sync to a new folder?

Thanks
David

Hi David

only for playlists
when you manually sync
and the files change, you must manually delete your files and add them again manually

Thanks Reinhard,

lol, wish I knew this before I did all the manual syncing. It was I guess implied in the Wiki, not stated.

Anyhow, the workaround appears to be to create a playlist from the tracks on the device (select all > add to playing now > Create playlist ) and sync to that playlist ( choose the device in handheld > Options > Select the newly created Playlist).Seems to be working so far

Cheers
