Title: Is there any way to directly access tags
Post by: gvag on August 13, 2013, 03:32:00 pm
I have MC18/19 installed on my laptop but I don't want to upgrade my desktop if there no easy way to directly access specific fields without using the Action Window.  Also is there a way to maximize the  Notes field without dragging the sidebar.

Thanks

George

In most views, you can slow double click on a field to edit it.  Or select a value and press F2.

Let me explain.  I'm running MC9 and I have a program that selects all the tracks in an album and updates specific fields in the sidebar using sendkeys.  I don't want to loose this functionality.  Is there anyway to do this with a macro?

In a file list view, you can select the files and press F2.  The cell that opens is the cell column that was clicked.  You don't need to use the Action Window.

I'm curious, what are you updating this way?

I like to document my music so I usually pull the info from AMG - Overview, recording date, release date, genre, year, & personnel.  But I don't think this is going to work.  In MC9 all the fields are listed in a column on the right, it easy to program the clicking of fields and pasting the appropriate info into them.  I'll load Winbatch on my laptop and experiment with it there.

Thank

George
