Hi All,
Some observations on MJ8 that I just had a first look at.
The good news - great app in the making. Some unique
features in ID tag manipulation when burinig - best I've seen.
Did a couple of burns to CD-R directly from .APE. All seems to
work fine, including CD Text. However trying to read text burned
wiht MJ does not work well. Other apps read the MJ8 burned CD-Text
fine.
MJ8 does not recognize a Sony SCSI CDU968S as a burner, but a CD-ROM.
It also does not always see a blank in the drivers that it recognizes.
In the buring area, the whole disk has to be assigned 2sec gap, or none.
There is soem benefit to just select which groups of songs are to be
with gaps and which not.
Regards...

BTW - Is there a place to report bugs, besides this forum?
-
Use Help, System Info And Paste It To Your Messages
And the Problem.
Bug Posts Are To Be Placed In The Current Beta 8 Build Message after it is released.
You may need to install ASPI Drivers, Check that
-
usually, the best place for bugs in in the thread where the latest version was released. e.g. "8.0.227 Beta Available". Sometimes the programmers will start a new thread for a particular bug, such as "post info on this particular bug in this thread," e.g. "DIBENG.DLL CRASHES (please help us". If there is something that you'd like to see added to the program (not a bug fix), post it to the wish list, above under Interact.
Good luck and enjoy the program

Hi,
I'm using MJ8 8.0.227 - no help button in this version.
Any other way I can provide the info?
ASPI drivers have been installed.

no help button, right end of the menu bar? bizarre.
-
Everyone has A Help Pulldown But "durgame"
that needs to go in the bug report
-
the help button issue, durgame, might be the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I'd do an uninstall/reinstall. REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR .RRG FILE! A couple of times, to floppy, other folders, 2nd hard drive, whatever you can.

You might pull that bar in the middle of your tool bar to the right with your mouse as your help button may be covered. I know I thought there was no button when I first downloaded 8.0. Finally figured it out.
-
Sorry and thanks for the patience.
There is a Help button. It was covered up by some
of the large buttons to the right of it. Someone else
mentioned it on this forum, so I did not look very hard.

Darn!
You found the problem too quickly. I was going to offer you an $800 mouse pad upgrade.
(Thanks to "Dilbert" for that one)

By the way that drive is not on the supported list
http://www.goldenhawk.com/devices_body.htm
is generic Checked in the burner options?
JohnT from J River Might Can Help Monday with some advice.
-
Yes the drive is on the supported list and the
Generic Driver box checked. It is visible, but only
as a reader along with a Plextor CD-ROM (also SCSI).
IDE CD-R/W is visible as a burner.
