Title: Crash when choosing music
Post by: Karl_Napp on August 21, 2013, 08:37:30 am
I updated to MC18. Big mistake, I had MC16 before, which worked. Never change a running system...

I can start MC18. I created a library on my NAS. I can see the music (artist, albums, titles, etc.). When I want to select a track to add to playlist, MC18 crashes. This false is repeatable.

log-file attached.

I don't see a crash in the Previous log.

Is this really the file name?

It might be.
I got crashes with several files. It doesn't matter, which file.

Try playing from within MC.

Reboot.  Reinstall.

Try setting up audio again.

Unplug all devices from the PC.

Try other programs.  Do they play the same files?

Virus checkers can do strange things sometimes.

I restored W7 to the latest restoring point -> MC16. It's too bad about the money for MC18...

MC16 works. Better, but not perfect. Sometimes the computer hung up. Sometimes I think there is a conflict with the windows explorer.

I am using MC16 with Catwlak to control Linn Majik DSi.
With the original control point Kinsky it works.

This is probably not an MC18 problem.  MC18 is generally reliable and stable.

It's possible that Catwalk might only work with an earlier version.
