Something I've been missing in all MC versions is recognizing the correct portable and a list which shows all configured portables.
I use several Blackberry (also Archos and Cowon) devices and they can be perfectly configured as a portable. Windows7 or Windows8 gives them a drive letter, everything cool. Then the next time I hook another device up Windows might give it another drive letter. Somehow MC does not recognize my portable anymore. I can't find a way or a list of potable devices to tell MC which portable has just hooked up. My solution is to configure the device AGAIN as a new portable and then sometimes MC recognizes it again and puts "(1)" behind the name. My iPods are perfectly recognized.
I experienced the same issue in MC19. Can this be solved or please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I hope there is a better way to do this.

Under Handheld options, you can use Redetect Devices.
You could use Windows to move some devices to letters like x: or y: or z: so that Windows won't move them.

JimH, with the redetection you loose all settings. I use a total of 9 devices.
I'd like to see a list of configured devices to point out which device I have connected. And why does it recognizes iPods so perfectly. Also when Windows changes drive letters, It should be able to recognize the Media Center configured devices.

I hope that this request will be looked after with MC19.
Had several problems with MC19, will reinstall and look for updates there.
