Title: PCM under Red October custom
Post by: jorsan on August 22, 2013, 10:14:33 am
HI,
Im using two different audio outputs, one for music (signal thru USB tomy DAC) and video (HDMI to my processor), and this is why I have the "custom" option activated, to configure my second audio out. Under "custom" dont know how to configure JRiver to process the dolby / dts signal inside the program and send the signal already processed -PCM-  and not as I am doing right now. Please show me step by step if thats possible.
thanks in avdance

You might use zones and Zone Switch to have two different audio paths.  More is on the wiki.

Thanks for your response and sorry about my bad english: what I want to know is how can I configure JRiver to output the audio of a movie already decoded inside the program (pcm), and not as I am doing now that I stream the signal to my processor to be decoded there... hope you understand what I'm looking for.

Just make sure in the Options -> Audio -> Bitstreaming is set to "None". All audio will then be decoded.

Thanks nevcairiel, is that all or I need to do something else to decode all surround options?

You need to obtain the file dtsdecoderdll.dll (Arcsoft TMT's DTS-HD decoder) and copy it to the right location for DTS-HD decoding to work. Without that, only the DTS core will be decoded.

You can also do a search on the forum and/or Google for more info.
