Sometimes Jim has scary Spidey-Business-Sense.
Yesterday he said "A guy should buy a little Microsoft stock. All it would take would be for Ballmer to step down or for a rumor of a Bill Gates return for it to spike."
Today, Ballmer retired.
Anyway, who should Microsoft go with?
I nominate Gabe Newell or Steve Wozniak.

Paula Deen is looking for a job. One mouth for another.
-
I'd love a chance. Do they take walk-ons?
Jerry Seinfeld would probably be good at it. He knows Bill Gates, and Bill seemed to like him.
-
I wonder if Bill Gates gets some guilty pleasure from seeing Microsoft struggle without him?
I mean, he's there as it goes from nothing to one of the biggest companies in the world. Then he leaves and the trajectory reverses.
I'm sure he wants to see his baby live forever, but part of him has to think "#!?@, I must have been even better than I realized."
-
In one of his biographies Bill Gates said that one of his greatest fear was that one day Microsoft could go downhill. Hidden fears have a tendency to materialize themselves.
-
I think Microsoft has gone down hill and I don't see it getting any better.

Carl Icahn

They already called me.
I am thinking (meditating).

Carl Icahn
that would be a mistake.
they need someone to direct them in software development and hardware.
not someone with deep pockets.
