Title: JRiver ASIO causing Smaart Live to Crash
Post by: crafty on August 24, 2013, 11:18:46 am: Trying to get Smaart to work with J river as they would make a formidable set of tools ! Unfortunately once J River 19 is installed it prevents Smaart from loading - Smaart reports the following information. Any ideas?

Also, does it make a difference if you have MC19 running when launching Smaart?

I tried opening MC19 first and then Smaart but it didn't make any difference; tried changing output device in MC19 and no change. Uninstalled MC19 and Smaart runs perfectly, re installed MC19 and error re appears. Re installed Smaart and no change.

I went back to MC18, uninstalled MC19 and Smaart opens and works normally, then installed MC19 alongside MC18 and strangely Smaart and MC19 are now working together ! When I open Smaart it opens MC19 first and J river is listed as an ASIO output device for the signal generator. Tested and signal enters J river and outputs as specififed. Somehow having MC18 alongside has rectified the issue...

I'm having a similar issue with MC19.0.128 and Smaart 7.5. Whenever I launch Smaart, MC 19 opens, tries to run a file listed as "Ipc" then MC stops responding. Eventually, MC reopens, then lists a file--- live://ipc?pipe=00000348&streaming=0 in the now playing window. Anyone have any thoughts? I've disassociated all file associations in MC and deleted MC19 as a device in Smaart, all to no avail. Thanks for any assistance.

You can disable this in Options > General > Features > ASIO Driver
