Title: multiple tagging and keeping the old tag?

hello

question:
is it possible to ad a genre-tag to diffrent albums at once and keep the old tag...

i mean:
1. album -jazz the 2. album- pop
than adding best
the result should be
1. album  - jazz; best 2. album pop; best

if i mark them and ad "best", i get  1. album -(various);best 2.album (various); best...

is there an advanced tagging manual? in the normal wikki i cant find it?

You can use F2 to edit the tags, but add the new value with a ; character first.  See attached image for an example of adding Best to a genre that already has Pop.

yes i know that ...sorry for my bad english ...my expression is not so clear...

if i take my example from the beginning and the diffrent albums don´t have the same value for genre than it gets (various) - right? and if i write now ";best" i get all marked albums with "various" and "best" and they loose the genre from before...

the question was - is it possible to ad an adittional genre to multiple tagged genre-albums at once...

Sorry, I misunderstood.

Do this instead.

Edit the tags with F2, and enter:

   =[genre]; Best

This will assign the genre's old value with "Best" added.
