Title: vertical movement of video frame during playback
Post by: thorsten on August 28, 2013, 04:24:00 pm
Hi all,
after using MC18 for quite a time now, I finally made it and register to the forum  ;D
My name is Thorsten, I'm 38 years old and live near Regensburg/Germany. I'm using MC18 für a 7.3 Homecinema in a dedicated room. Playback is done with a rme Fireface UC, several amps and Visaton-VOX-System.

I'm curious about a function. Let me explain what I want:
If I watch a 1,85:1 movie, the complete area of my FullHD frond projection screen is used.
If I watch a 2:,35:1 movie, there are symmetrical black areas above and below the film.
And this is my question: is it possible, to move the picture vertically, so that it fits directly to the bottom of the screen area?
If so, I can use a double-height blanking on the top of the screen.
What I want is a "software" lens-shift.

Sorry for my english, it's a little bit rusty.

Regards,
thorsten

If you right click on the screen and select "window" (or use directional (right) arrow keys on remote) while a movie is playing, you will find many choices to: crop, stretch, remove bars, enlarge/shrink to fit the movie to your screen.
