Title: Track order (different from CD?)
Post by: jules8104 on March 15, 2002, 06:41:18 am
Hi,

If I rip a CD onto my hard drive, when I view it via Media Library, the tracks are not in the order that they are on the CD.  This is probably because "Track #" is not available as a sort order parameter like it is when directly viewing the tracks on the CD.

Is there a workaround for this?

Jules - go to Settings / Options / Tree & List View.

On the right hand side of the window you see a small area where you can define the default sort order for the list view - mine is Artist, then Album, then Track #, (Track) Name.

John,

Cool Thanks.  I set the default order to '#' and that seems to work great.

Jules - Glad that worked for you.

You might want to think about the order I have - otherwise when you look in the list for all artists then tracks will be sorted so that all the track #1 will come first etc. Including artist / album kind of works for all the views - at least for me.
