Title: No digital playback; no sound in rear speakers

Hi. I have MJ 8.0.227, Windows XP, Creative Live Value sound card with most recent driver and Klipsh promedia 4.1. I am unable to play digital or use the rear speakers witj MJ. No problem with Windows Media Player

What Output device are you using? (Settings/options/playback and look in the output section).

Thanks for the quick replay. I fixed it after reviewing the settings. I get beautiful sound from the 4 speakers and digital output using Direct Sound instead of "wave out'
