Hi, have a question about licence:

if I buy jriver 18 today, will I get upgrade on 19, or will I have to buy new licence?

MC for Windows and Mac are on different tracks and use separate licenses.

In the next few weeks, we're likely to begin the transition to MC19 for Mac.

Any purchase of a full Mac license after September 1 will receive a complimentary upgrade to MC19.  Others will receive a discount (which we'll mail about when we know more).

So those of us that were early adopters in Alpha will have to pay more than the people that purchase today?  I'm sorry but that makes zero sense to me.  Why penalize the people that helped get it to where it's at?

You paid half price to begin with.  But I'm sorry if you feel like MC18 wasn't worth it.

For what it's worth, we've worked hard on it (including years of work before it could be made public).

No, MC18 is great!  If you're saying that the upgrade will be say $25 and then the total cost is $50 then OK.  Then it just equals what someone pays today.  Yes, we got to use it first and that was a choice but I'd throw the early adopters a bone.   :) 

Again, please don't take me as bitching, I'm not at all.  The program is fantastic and does mostly what I want/need but everyone likes to feel like they got a deal for their efforts. 

I would like to see:
Vinyl Conversion & Print Library part of MC19 though.   :P

Paid $25, will pay another $25 to keep this train running :)  Very happy with JRiver.
