Hi, when I sync my device with j river, all the files in aac/m4a are encoded to mp3 automatically. My device can play m4a/aac/mp4 files so I don't want converse the files!
how to disable this function in the program?
thank you!

Tools/Options/Handheld, look under Conversion.

If I go to "conversion/audio/mode": do i need select "mode: original"? is this option?
thank you!
-
That will stop it from converting, yes. If you want another format, you can choose one from the available formats and configure it there.
-
If I select "mode: original" I get a message of error for m4a files. The massage say
"the following 357 files cannot be transfered. common errors include insufficient rights or unsupported file types. remove the unsupported tracks and continue?"
I don't understand. I only want copy the files as originals without converse. why say the files are unsupported?
-
Probably because your device reports as not supporting these filetypes.
It could be a bug with the device, reporting incorrectly or your device really doesn't support the files you're trying to sync?
I don't know ... ?

is not possible, my device is only a SDcard. J river only detect sd-card, not a phone or tablet. So I can understand what is "incompatible". The process is only "copy" files.
I wait for a solution!
thank you!!!

I found the problem!
the problem is:
file, path and more:
supported files: mp3;jpg;mpg;aac;wma;ogg;rm;
I need add an extension "m4a". If i do it this works! with "original" or other mode!
=)
