Title: Can't Install MC18 on XP Home

Hi,

My problem is very similar to the one posted HERE (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=81412.0).

This is XP Home SP3, I'm running an administrator account, MSE is disabled. When I try to install MC18 I get the " Install Launcher has encountered a problem..." dialog. MC17 has no issues installing.

No luck with MC19 either...

Make sure you have the most recent builds.

Thanks Jim, I tried:

18.0.212 and 19.0.37

17.0.189 will install.

I've attached the error report, no firewall is in use.

I tried upgrading this box from MC17 to MC18 earlier this summer with the same result, but since this was a standalone system it was not a big issue. FWIW, I recently had to rebuild this computer due to some hardware failures so this is a fresh install with virtually no other software installed.
