I have a particular folder in "my music" with 12 songs inside the folder. When I search for it inside mc, 2 album icons for this one folder show up. One album icon has 11 of the 12 songs and the other album icon has the 1 missing song. I tried moving the 1 song to the other album icon within mc but that doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I'm using a trial version. BTW; same thing happens in mc19.

This is probably because the tags are not the same.
If you go to panes view, find the album and you can select them both in the panes while holding the control key.
Below the panes you'll see the tracks and you can correct the artist and/or album tags so they are the same and MC will keep them grouped under 1 album.

Still don't see the problem??

The answer (at least partially) is in the screenshot. Album Artist varies. Set Album Artist to be the same for all tracks - either clear it to get Album Artist (auto)'s "(Multiple Artists)" value, or set it to a value of your choosing.

Many thanks!
