Title: Copying CDs while ripping
Post by: AOS@ZOL.com on March 14, 2002, 06:09:06 am
How to rename a track BEFORE copying--the program is requesting a "genre", but on my PC, the Properties Preferences Genre field is gray and won't allow me to select it.

You asked for more detail on my question of why I cant rename a CD track that I'm going to copy. Im ripping a CD to copy it to an >.ASX file to uploading for webacasting on our internet site. When I try to rename it prior to copying, it asks me to select Genre under Properties/Prferences, but then it wont let me (its a gray field).  So I have to go to the file folder wher im g copying it to EACH TRACK and rename it before going to the next rrtrack--very time consuming! please if you need more info to help with this issue contact my mgr kevin at kwaldren@x correction kwaldren@zol.com (everytime i try to back correct on this field it throws me out and i hafe o to st6art over , so im leaving in the typos!) THANK YOU FOR YUOR HELP!

Is anybody else having flashbacks to the days when AOL first dumped all of its users onto the internet?

I wonder if ZOL is like... Zimbabwe Online or something...

AOS@ZOL.com,
I can't help you on your original problem but if you open Interact in a new window (right-click the Interact icon on MJ's home page and some choices will appear. "open in new window" is one of them) you will be able to use "backspace" and some other keys I don't remember. Alternately, choose Interact from the "help" pulldown and it will open in a new window automatically.
