Title: Hiss at end of converted track
Post by: mlundy57 on September 13, 2013, 09:37:30 am
I recently converted some uncompressed FLAC files to uncompressed WAV files and saved them to a thumb drive for use on one of my BDP's that won't read FLAC. The conversion worked fine and the new WAV files play. However, each track has a very loud hiss at the end just before it switches to the next track. How do I remove and/or prevent this hiss?

Thanks,

Mike

Did you convert the files?  What program did you use?

What audio device are you playing to?

I get also once this issue with files 24bits/44.1kHz with MC some time ago. Now I am only use dBPowerAmp for FLAC (compressed or uncompressed) to WAV conversion. dBpoweramp conversion for flac/wav is still free active even after end of trial period and it allows you to see and check bit depth for conversion (24b or 16b) and sampling rate.
