Title: 3D movie shows 2 compressed images in split-screen, why?
Post by: globetrotters1 on September 16, 2013, 08:03:43 pm
Wanted to watch a 3D movie on 2D hardware. It shows a 2 images vertically compressed side by side...

Is there somewhere a setting I can use to force it to show normal on a 2D monitor?

Thanks

Stereoscopic Player should do the trick.

You have an HSBS file (Half side by side). If you had the original iso disk image, or a folder rip of the disc, MC would play it fine in 2D.

Is there a setting in MC for stereoscopic playback? (never heard of that)

My guess would be install stereoscopic player and make MC to play the movie with stereoscopic directshow filter.
Also remember that a half-sbs movie played in 2D will be half the resolution of a normal "full" 2D and 3D version of the movie.
