Title: Duplicate files when ripping CD's to my nas drive issue
Post by: JoeDAC on September 18, 2013, 11:42:50 am
When I rip a CD is saves two files on my NAS drive

The files go to the same folder on the nas

The file extensions in JRiver appear as follows

\\IX2\Music\jriver
http://192.168.1.00

Looks like on is going to a folder extension and one is a IP folder extension???

Why is JRiver duplicating the rips and saving them under two file extension on my NAS drive?

I assume it is a setting issue with File locations under options but I can seem to figure it out??

Any suggestions?

Welcome.

What path have you selected for ripping in Options > File Location?

Could you test ripping to C:\ just to be sure that works?

Are you ripping on a regular MC, or an MC Library Server Client?

Thanks.

My file path is the NAS drive file folder \\IX2\Music\JRiver Music\
I will test a rip to the c drive
Manage library tab looks like i am ripping to the "ix2 is a DLNA Library from a device on the network"

When I ripped to the C drive the files do not duplicate. I think it is a DLNA or library preference issue.

I'm lost

It seems like you're opening the NAS drive's DLNA server.  You shouldn't.  Just import the files from the NAS drive.  See the topic called "Getting Started" on our wiki.
