Title: Quicktime / Movie Rotation
Post by: zydeco on September 20, 2013, 07:19:51 am
I've got some .MOV videos take on an iPhone that I'd like to view within JRiver. The videos are shown in landscape mode but need to be rotated 90deg (to portrait) for viewing. It seems that this is automatically done within Quicktime Pro but not JRiver. I've attempted to use Quicktime Pro which seems able to rotate the videos but the new orientation isn't shown in JRiver. A trial of MPEG_Streamclip seems to have found that it's possible to rotate videos by 180deg but not 90deg. Is there a simple solution to this (what must be common) problem?

Video Rotator (http://www.videorotator.com/) is free and works well with iPhone Recordings  :)

EDIT: it used to be free, sorry  >:(

See "MOV files play in landscape not portrait (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=82565.0)"
