This is just a very small problem that doesn't really matter to me but I've noticed that [Bitrate] does not show in the display at the top of the player. Sample rate and other info displays properly though.

Probably you have Memory Playback enabled, whereby Bitrate is meaningless.

Why is bitrate meaningless because of memory playback? I assumed it would display the encoded bitrate of the actual file as saved in the database, like 320, 192 or 128 .....

With memory playback enabled, the player will no longer report a real-time bitrate (ie. 872 kbps) during playback. This is because asking the decoder its current bitrate is not possible when the decoder has finished with the current track completely in the first couple seconds of playback.
