Title: Analize Audio
Post by: maid on September 21, 2013, 10:58:49 pm
I have selected all my files and selected analyse it tells me there is nothing to analyse.

On import it is analyzing all my files over 6000 and is very slow, is this normal?

So, what's your question?

There's nothing to analyze, because apparently you're analyzing everything on import.

And how slow is very slow? Import naturally takes longer when you analyze as you go along then when you don't.

It does analyze on import but does it run through the whole library each time?

No, but once a file has been analyzed it won't be analyzed again; so, if all your files are analyzed on import everything will have already been analyzed when you check (unless you get a new version of MC that analyzes files differently than before in which case all files will have to be re-analyzed).

well that explains why it is analyzing all my music 10 mins for 7 files.

As I said I tried analyzing a few at a time but it said they were no files that require analizing

10 minutes for 7 files is definitely slow, unless the files are huge and you have a low power computer, or some other problem.

Thanks for the help. I think its because I am using Lan.

I will run this from the machine itself.
