Title: Apple Lossless vs FLAC

Is there any advantage in using FLAC tagging wise over Apple lossless.

Also if I covert to FLAC within MC I think there is an option of a compression number, what value should I use.

I think Flac admits custom tags. I don't know if Alac does

The encode will be lossless no matter what number you choose, it's all about compression rate vs encoding time, I recommend you to use 8 since it's the highest compression and the encode it's pretty fast anyway

Note: A flac -8 will be smaller than alac by a few kb
