I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong.
I created a media view scheme for Artist only, and in Search Criteria I included:
album=[best of] or [greatest hits]
I then renamed the scheme "Best Of..."
It's nice... Now I have
Best Of....
Van Morrison
Leonard Cohen
etc.
Here's the deal. It doesn't seem to matter which artist I click on, I always get the entire list of hits. How come clicking on Van Morrison doesn't just show me Van Morrison's albums with Greatest Hits or Best of in the title? Is there something else I can add to the search criteria to get what I want?

Oh, good bug.
We need to add that extra stuff in parenthesis, or else it won't work right.
Next build will fix it.
Thanks.

Remember in Doof's "Tips & Tricks" thread I wrote:-
Here's a clever thing that did not work although I think it should
I made or view scheme consisting of Location\Album Artist\Album and in the search criteria I put (M:\ OR C:\).
It finds the two locations correctly and it makes the hierarchy correctly, but shows all albums under every artist.
Good to hear a fix is imminent, although I envy your Gold Pass into JRiver ears, Lise.

Calithumpian,
I remember reading your report, but at the time I couldn't figure it out.
I guess if a monkey sees the same problem enough times, he's bound to figure it out eventually...

Callithumpian,
I had assumed you were facing a different problem. In a previous post, I pointed out that when using Album Artist under View Scheme, it won't just show the album artists, but will show ALL artists |PLS| Album artists. The reason being, I was told, that the album artist is by default the artist unless otherwise stated.
I thought that when you were seeing all albums, it was because of this. So I guess I, too, misunderstood you.
ps - the ear is because they know that I know where they live.
