I have both versions, MC18 and MC19, running on my system (windows 7). Comparing both versions MC18 with kernel streaming sounds best in my system (PS Audio Prefectwave DAC MKII). In MC19 kernel streaming ist not available under options music. What can i do do get kernel streaming under MC19? Without MC19 ist useless for me, because the sound quality in all other options like asio, wasapi, direct sound etc. isnīt as good as kernel streaming. >:(

It should be listed under "More" though Kernel Streaming is not recommended if your hardware has a native ASIO driver, or supports WASAPI. It's a legacy option intended for Windows XP.

It is not listed. Asio and Wasapi are listed, but the sound quality is not as good as with kernel streaming. Look at the attachements.

You appear to be streaming files over a network rather than having the DAC connected to your computer. Those settings don't apply.

In both versions i stream over the network, PC to router to the network bridge of the DAC. It even works with 2 PCs, MC Server to MC Client to router to the dac. Why do i get kernel streaming in MC18 and everything works fine and not in MC19?

Options > Audio has no effect when playing to a DLNA device.
This is true in MC18 and MC19, but MC19 makes it more clear and disables the Options page.
Look in Options > Media Network for DLNA settings.

Look in Options > Media Network for DLNA settings.
And if it is so, why are there differences in sound quality between MC18 and MC19?

There should not be.
Double-check your settings in Options > Media Network > Add or configure DLNA servers, and your testing methodology.

Both settings are identical, see the attachements. Believe me, in a highend system you will hear the differences between MC18 and MC19. Two aof my friends
have nearly the same equipment and hear the same differences like i do.

Is it possible that Volume Leveling or other DSP is being applied?
I don't use DLNA in my setup, so I'm unsure of how that is configured, but I think that was a new option in MC19.

No, no DSP or Volume leveling is applied...
