Title: download manager speed
Post by: zevele1 on March 10, 2002, 07:59:40 am
I have a new try to 8 after a clean install of Windows.Well, less bad,no more than 10 cold reboots in one hour
From where the speed kb/s is coming?I have monstrous download speed according to download manager-600,700 kp/s.System monitor gives a much smaller speed.I am not sure, but i feel that according to the time/song,system monitor is right, not download manager
Any clue?

Download manager uses kilobits instead of kilobytes. (8 kilobits = 1 kilobyte)  Maybe it should be an option...

Also, about the cold reboots, does running other programs cause bad crashes, or is it MJ-specific?

Take care.

it can be.Anyway it is not big deal,i was just curious
concerning 8
My first install friday or saturday gave me errors from allmost every programs. But only the" 8 crashes" needed a cold reboot
Today clean install, only connection, sound card and Netscape at this time.Look like 8 is the cause.Beside this it looks like more you use it,less problems you have
If of any help to you,i can give you some indications
For me ,no need.I will use 7 until 8 ready.I am afraid of not to be of any help running a beta

W ME-all needed updates done
