Hi,
Thought I give the Debian version a go. Whilst I have a little experince in UNIX environments I have never administered one. So having a few problems & don't know if it's VirtualBox, my setup, my lack of skills or JRiver (and I understand faults are to be expected)
Host: Win 7 (64bit) SP1
VirtualBox: 4.2.18
Guest (uname -a): Linux debian 3.10-3-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.10.11-1 (2013-09-10) i686 GNU/Linux
Guest Debian Version: jessie/sid (from /etc/debian_version)
JRiver 19.0.52
Status: Audio files imported and successfully playing FLAC 2 channel files
Not sure what level of issue should be reported. The first things I noticed are
- Unable to maximise the application window (in terminal window see JRBasicWnd::SetCapture)
- Unable to move / resize the internal panes
Any thoughts on what I can check / do?

The problems you're seeing are known bugs.
So I think you're actually up to speed with everyone else ;D
Expect the rough edges on the UI to fall of in the coming months. We're most focused on stability now, and the hurdles of getting it working on as many systems as possible.

Thanks Matt
I hadn't installed a UNIX system for about 15 years. The toolsets and processes have improved
cheers,

Thanks for the help with Fedora. I'm still getting a segfault. I started a new thread for this because I think it's important to document how to get JRiver working on Fedora and I don't want to mix the info with this Debian thread.
