Title: Gizmo video streaming stopped working on Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Post by: famu97 on October 18, 2013, 07:54:32 pm
Gizmo stopped streaming my movies in my library from jrmc.  Gizmo streams movies fine on my other Android devices in the house (Samsung Captivate Glide, & two Nexus 7 tablets) but it's stopped working on my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.  I can't pinpoint exactly when it stopped but I'm pretty sure it's hasn't worked since I got this latest factory upgrade from Android 4.1 to 4.2.2.  I don't think I've streaming any video since then.  I can stream music fine on my tablet but as soon as I click on a movie, it says "preparing" like it's converting the file and then it plays for 1 second and then stops.  I don't know if it's something with this upgraded firmware or some app I might have installed.

I'm running jrmc 19.0.56 with the latest Gizmo from the Play store. I've even tried uninstalling then re-installing but that didn't work.  Same issue.

any help is appreciated.

Thanks
KT

can you confirm whether you are able to play video through webgizmo by using the following flash enabled browser:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.browser.flashfox

if so you can try side loading  adobe flash from android 4.0 and trying Gizmo again. if not, id get the full screen firefox plug in for that browser and Thank god your on Android and not an iPad :-)

Having the same issue as the OP on my LG G2.  It's running Android 4.2
Flash browser works on the Gizmo website fine, side loading Adobe Flash didn't work either.
Videos play for 1-2 seconds then exit.  Gizmo doesn't completely crash - it just exits back to the previous screen.

I noticed just today that videos will play if I set the video quality to 'low' (give that a try OP)

I don't need to do this on my old Nexus S or Galaxy S3.
