Title: Sync to Handheld (USB Stick) - Folder path variable?
Post by: gingi on October 21, 2013, 11:35:35 am
Hi,

I would like to sync a Playlist to a USB stick and the folder name on the usb stick should be the playlist name.

So the "audio path" in the sync options shoud be like Music\[Playlistname]\

Is there any possiblity?

I still have MC 17.

Thanks in advance

That isn't a valid library field name as far as I can tell.
There is a playlistid field, but it's a string of numbers that won't mean much to you.

I don't worry much about where the actual files go, and some of my songs appear in multiple playlists.
I just do [artist]\[album]
then the playlist files are played in the music player.  don't see any reason they need to be together in a folder with the player app I use.

Thanks for your reply.
I would like to use a USB Stick with my JVC car receiver and it's not possibile to play standard playlists.
You can only play on folder basis or playlists created with a special tool (JVC Playlist Creator).
This tool is also very simple and can create only playlists from folders.

I found a workaround with Library Tools -> Copy Files ... although without sync
