Title: Repeat Not Working
Post by: Stream on October 21, 2013, 04:23:36 pm
I frequently use the Repeat Playing Now feature in MC. When using this on the local Linux PC it works fine. When streaming to the Linux PC with DLNA repeat doesn't work. The PC streaming to Linux just says waiting in the MC status window.

Welcome.

When streaming to a copy of MC using DLNA, MC is just a dumb renderer.

This means the controller (maybe MC on a PC in this case) is in charge of any repeats.

Does toggling the controller's repeat mode make a difference?

The PC sending music is the one that says Waiting..., not the Linux PC. Kind of weird. Like it's waiting for the Linux PC to send a signal.

Toggling the repeat modes doesn't change anything. Repeat Playing Now, Repeat Current Item, make no difference. These are toggled on the windows PC obviously.

I'm not sure.  Let us test on our side.

Works here (pushing via DLNA). Gapless as well.
Current version of MC on both the PC controller/server and Linux renderer. Pause works too.
What are your DLNA server and controller (the PC) settings?
Is repeat ON on the DLNA Controller PC?

Hmmm, now I CAN get it to not work. Need to check some more.
