I think I have seen mention in these forums that MC writes tags to MP4 video files.
I have seen no evidence of this. Changing tags and artwork does not seem to ever change the file.
Can someone please clarify what MC does now, and whether it might write MP4 tags in the future?
I ask because I am trying to sort out how to get video from MC onto iOS devices. It seems that if mp4 file tags and artwork are present there is a clean solution. I am hoping not to have to use another application to write mp4 tags.

I put feature request in for MP4 tagging here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=82864.0 and included a link to a file to show that all the tag info CAN be written to the MP4 format.
I used MP3tag application to populate the file tags.
I agree that including tags in MP4 rather than in sidecar files would be a much cleaner solution- any chance of this being included in a future build?

Thanks.
The Video app in iOS7 does not display a text name for videos. Therefore without imbedded artwork it is useless. I want to manage tags and artwork in MC and then export to iTunes with MCiS for consumption on iDevices.
