Title: Prevent vizualisations from starting automatically

Is there a way to prevent vizualisations from starting automatically, or perhaps disable them altogether?
I don't need them and hate having to close the popped up window upon every new playback...

sorry need a little more information, not sure your screen config. Could you post a screen shot please.

There is an easy fix I'm sure (I never have visualizations personally) just don't want to steer you the wrong way.

What I meant is this window outlined in red (see screenshot).
Those music visualizers also consume a good deal of CPU; if I play music I only want to listen not watch colorful lightshows, hence would like to prevent them from starting up.
