Is there any way to setup JRiver to play to an MPD server running on another machine?

If there's any sort of MPD bridge that could make MPD appear as DLNA, a WDM device, an ASIO device, etc. it would be possible.

Creating a native MPD output plugin would be another possibility, but so far it hasn't been a common request.  Could you help us understand how it might be useful?

We are looking at building a mpd based renderer.
