Post by: dennis_k85 on October 27, 2013, 05:26:14 pm
Is there any way to stream JRiver to a remote system and port? Say http://192.168.249.77:8000

It's not clear what you're trying to do, but there are a lot of ways to use the network with MC.

I have a device that accepts streaming data on port 8000. Is there any way I can have JRiver send its output data to the device and port?

Hi Dennis,

The output plugin system allows creation of all sorts of outputs -- disk, ASIO, Core Audio, etc.  However, no current output plugins support writing to a socket.

Could you help us understand the goal?  How is the format (channels, bitdepth, etc.) specified if the output is just writing raw data to a socket?

Thanks.

The device is a linux based mpd renderer. The mpd device gets the information for the header of the file being played.
