Title: YOUTUBE - Sometimes videos play within the player, sometimes they don't
Post by: fluidz on October 28, 2013, 01:10:54 am
Hi,

I like it when I play a youtube video it can play within jriver, use the dsp effects - especially Eq, but this option isnt working for all videos, is this a known Bug?
Some videos do not give me the option to play within the player, instead they just load the webpage instead, dsp effects wont work.
Is there any difference to how Youtube is handled in Mc19?

Also does JRiver support 1080p whilst watching youtube videos? The highest I can see is 720p, my screen is 1440p so I need the highest resolution I can get.

Please help JRiver!

Good question , I got nothin' accept I now can't play anything inside mc 18.

My best guess is that YouTube is constantly changing things & considering 18 is a done deal there are no fix for 18?
Guess we need to pony up to 19?

Sincerely , I got nothing

I have been on 19 for a while and it still doesn't work. Won't show the little 'Play inside the player, Download, etc,' panel. just plays on YouTube. So I can't download anything and 19 has not fixed it.

Don't use it often, but this has happened now and again for a year or more. Try a month later and the panel may appear, maybe it won't. JRiver should fix it permanently, keep up promptly with any YouTube changes, or remove it. Time better spent than on constant new releases or versions.

Only thing I have ever found less than very good.

I have the same problem with 19.0.104.  CTRL+click does not work.  Could anyone in the JRiver team tell how to recall the panel?

Youtube changes the site from time to time.  We'll take a look at it again.

It is strange, but my office PC accepts CTRL+click.  So the case is only of my home PC.

We've seen problems caused by mouse software like Logitech's Setpoint.

I use Logitech mouse at home.  Maybe it is the cause of the problem.  I will try different mouse and will report if I find something.

No it was not the cause of the problem.  I tried a different mouse without Setpoint, but CTRL+click did not work.
