I must be missing something but I can't seem to change the order of my views under Audio in the tree.
I grab a view with the mouse, slide it to where I want it, and then choose Move; but no matter where I put it the view always ends up inside another view, NOT in between them where I want it.
IOW, say I have as views under Audio
Classical
Rock
Mood
Jazz
I want Jazz after Classical but when I move it anywhere near Classical or Rock I get
Classical
Rock
Mood
with Jazz in Classical or Rock. Any idea as to what I'm doing/not doing?

Same problem here.
The solution must be pretty simple, but I can't organize the order of my views.

Not so sure if this works. If you move multiple items to the bottom or top they will still be alphabetized. Am I missing something?
The only way I have been able to do this is be renaming them with numbers in the front of the name.

That's the workaround I use too.
-
I've thought of numbering too, but I didn't try it because I noticed that not all views under audio follow the alphabet. My order of views goes like this:
Files
All music
Classical
from All music all continue in order until
3D albums
Hmmm...?

Ok, I get it. It's sort of a puzzle. You keep moving views to the top or bottom, one at a time, so that eventually they end up in your desired order.
You could also throw in a few automatics, but that might get truly puzzling.

Well, upon further study, it sort of works. Move to the top doesn't always mean top. Sometimes it seems to mean second from the top, or who knows. Don't push your luck in other words, or plan to puzzle this out for a long time particularly if you have a lot of views.

The positioning system in the Tree is a bit esoteric, but it does have a logic. I'll try to explain it later tonight when I have time (assuming I don't break myself with adult beverages).
-
Maybe you should try to explain it when broken from said beverages. It'll surely make for a more entertaining read.
