(perhaps Matt can respond)
I've mentioned this in a prior post but am making this the sole topic in hopes of an answer. Using DSP over DoP with USB connection via Win 7 Professional. When tracks play without user-intervention there is never a click. When manually skipping ahead or backwards there is a soft click heard. I've tried setting the buffer to 250 ms without benefit. I believe this is only an issue when driving the Chord in DSD mode.
Is there a solution?
(PS, I really want to continue to use JRemote to control volume -- i.e. not interested in bitstream direct modes that eliminate the volume option)

If you want volume, it means you can either:
1) Play as high sample rate PCM
or
2) Use real-time DSD output encoding in DSP Studio > Output Format
Are you using #2? When you hear the click, does the DAC fall out of DSD mode?

I'm using version 19.0.60 & real-time DSD output encoding
DAC doesn't appear to drop out of DSD mode when manually changing tracks -- click ONLY heard on manual track changes.
Here's my settings ...
DEVICE SETTINGS
Digital output
+ Exclusive access
+ Play a little silence
Bit depth = AUTO
Buffering = 250 ms
OUTPUT ENCODING
DSD in DoP
Bitstreaming: None
Prebuffer: 6 sec
Silence @ startup: 0.5 sec
Switch tracks: Standard 0.4 sec
Use gapless for sequential tracks

If you switch to a short duration gapped fade, does it solve the issue?
If you stop a signal midstream, it could cause a little tick. Fading down the old song would fix that.

Perfect! That's the solution.
Thanks Matt for the great support you provide for this outstanding software.
